Independence

"Bill" William Preston Campbell was born on December 13, 1951 and left this world on Friday, August 16, 2024. He was born in Independence, Missouri to Lois and Clyde Campbell. He is survived by his wonderful wife, Debra Campbell; children, Chris and Trisha Campbell; and two granddaughters, Mariah Kisner and Addy Watkins. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Dylan Thompson; siblings, Carol Frances and Clyde Campbell; and both parents, Lois and Clyde Campbell. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who was very outgoing and always on the move. Bill was a hard-working man who served his community well. He worked at Sheffield Steel, Silo Fasteners, and worked right up until the day he died at Vance Brothers. When he wasn't working, you could find him collecting and building guns, hunting deer and birds, walking, and, of course, talking with everyone and anyone! He enjoyed golfing, spending time with family, fishing, traveling, and living life.
