William “BJ” Jordon, 75, of Buckner, Missouri passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on September 8, 1949, in Buckner, Missouri. BJ was a proud graduate of Fort Osage High School, Class of 1967. As an U.S. Army veteran, BJ served his country with honor during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970, a true testament to his dedication and love for his nation.
On July, 24, 1988, BJ married the love of his life, Theresa (Samartano) Jordon, and together they shared a life filled with laughter, love, and countless cherished memories. Their family grew on December 17, 1990, with the birth of their daughter Kimberly, who brought immeasurable pride and joy to BJ’s life.
BJ had a vibrant entrepreneurial spirit, which led him to pursue a variety of business ventures throughout his life that showcased his hard work, integrity, and passion. From working as a bail bondsman, a home inspector, and a foreman, BJ excelled in everything he did. His adaptability and drive inspired many, and his connections with people across these industries showcased his ability to make everyone feel valued and heard.
Outside of his work, BJ was a man of many talents and hobbies. He had a lifelong love for the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and spending time at the lake. Whether casting a line, sitting in a deer stand, or enjoying the serenity of nature, BJ found peace and joy in the wilderness. He also loved barbecue and participated in BBQ competitions, where he earned recognition and awards for his delicious creations. Regardless of the activity, BJ loved to find ways to bring people together, creating cherished memories over good food and great company.
BJ’s infectious laughter, his vibrant personality, and his genuine kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He never met a stranger, and his open heart and welcoming spirit embraced all who crossed his path.
BJ leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering kindness. He is survived by his wife, Theresa; his beloved daughter, Kimberly; and a large network of friends and extended family who will carry his memory in their hearts forever. He was preceded in death by his father Clelle and his mother Mildred (Hughes).
BJ’s joyful spirit, his ability to light up a room, and his selfless support for others will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, BJ - you are deeply loved and will be forever missed.
A celebration of BJ’s life will take place on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Buckner Town Hall from 12:00-2:30pm is the celebration of life/visitation and 2:30-3:00pm will be the Eulogy reading and time to share memories.
