Brady Lee Williams

Brady L. Williams, 96, of Harrisonville, MO, went to be with the Lord on January 6, 2007, at Cass Medical Center. He was born August 30, 1910 in Leeton, MO the son of William Brady Williams and Ida Lee (Ikenberry) Williams. On October 15, 1932 in Independence, MO he married Betty Alberta Van Dyke who preceded him in death on February 25, 1980. On September 25, 1980 in Independence, MO he married Lottie Inez Speak who preceded him in death on July 27, 1983. On June 30, 1984 at Waldo Avenue Baptist Church, Independence, MO he married Luella Marie Krey Soliday who survives him. Lee had many jobs in his life. After serving on the USS Dade during WWII, he obtained a degree in HVAC Engineering from DeVry and followed that career until his retirement in his mid 70�s. When his health permitted, he was an active member of Crescent Creek Community Church, 9507 E. 59th St., Raytown, MO. In addition to his wife, Lee is survived by his daughter, Doris J. Standley and her husband Doyle, Garden City, MO; two granddaughters, Marcia A. Nash and husband Greg, Harrisonville, MO, and Malinda D. Steckly and husband Randy, Garden City, MO; great granddaughters, Emy L. Moses Holtwick and husband Scott, Garden City, MO, Jessie N. Reeves, Danielle K. Reeves, Harrisonville, MO; great-great grandson, Gage M. Holtwick; great-great granddaughter, Jadynne Belle Holtwick, Garden City, MO; one sister, Genevieve Cannon, Oveido, FL; four brothers, Uel Williams, Lake Oswego, OR, DJ Williams, LaQuinta, CA, William G. Williams, Independence, MO, and George A. Williams, Virginia Beach, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Dorothy Williams and Virginia Williams Horn. A visitation will be held from 10-11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. The service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with Pastor W. Lee Payne officiating. The graveside service will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Mineral Creek Cemetery, Leeton, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Crescent Creek Community Church, Raytown, MO, in Lee�s memory.
