Donnie Williams, 72, of Blue Springs, MO passed away February 23, 2018 at his home. A memorial visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055.
Donnie was born on February 13, 1946 in Kansas City, MO to Mark and Martha (Hall) Williams. He is a graduate from De La Salle High School. After high school he worked 31 plus years then retired from Ford Motor Company. In June 1965 he married Gloria Mabery. Together they raised 3 daughters. Donnie was a racing enthusiast. His passion for cars lead him to drag racing, even from an early age until his passing he drove himself. He loved helping others and was known to many as the “tranny man”.
He will be remembered by his wife of over 50 years, Gloria Williams of Blue Springs, MO; daughters Tina Williams of Blue Springs, MO and Dawn Williams-Kleoppel and husband Ray Joe of Blue Springs, MO; grandchildren Ryan Clogston, Jeremy Williams, Tyler Williams, Madison Williams, Jackson Blauw, and Austin Williams-Kleoppel; and great-granddogs Titan, Zoey, Buddy, and Ricky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, 1 brother, and his daughter Sonia Clogston.
