Donna Jean Williams

Donna Jean Williams, 78, of Independence, MO passed away March 17, 2006 in Joplin, MO. Services will be 10:00 am Saturday March 25, 2006 at Speaks Suburban Chapel with interment in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 7-8:30 pm Friday at the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to Community Of Christ Outreach International. Donna was born October 2, 1927 to Joseph and Fannie (Young) Deal in Woodbine, IA. She was a life long member of the Community of Christ Church, most recently with the College Park Congregation. Donna was very devoted to her family, friends, and church. She spent many hours visiting friends, and those that were ill. One of greatest enjoyments was cooking and entertaining family and friends. Donna was truly a people person, and made everyone feel comfortable and welcome in her presence. Left to mourn her passing are her husband of 55 years, Merlyn Williams of the home, sons David and Joyce Williams of Centennial, CO , Dr. John and Cheryl Williams of Joplin, MO, daughters Jerri and Rick Davis of Independence, MO, Jane and David Savage of Oronogo, MO, 10 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
