Gayle Eliza Williams, 91, passed away on August 24, 2017. A private inurnment will take place in Mound Grove Cemetery.
Gayle was born on April 7, 1926, in Alberta, Canada, to John Jacob Hilstob and Ruth (Cripe) Hilstob. She attended high school in Canada, then moved to Lamoni, Iowa at the age of 17. She insisted on baking each family member’s birthday cakes, and made the best chocolate cake with seven-minute frosting!
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester; her parents; and five siblings.
She is survived by her daughters and their husbands: Connie Bungart (Mark), Leslie Banks (Steve), and Becky Gum (David); seven grandchildren: Stephanie, Amy, Adam, Tyler, Dylan, Cameron, and Chloe; and three great-grandchildren: Whitney, Lydia, and Alex.
