James “Jim” Ira Williams, 86, Independence, MO died June 10, 2013. Services will be 10 am, Sat., June 15 at Speaks Buckner Chapel; interment at Buckner Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Friday at the chapel. Jim was born Nov. 15, 1926 in Clearwater, FL. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II. He worked at Missouri Public Service for twenty-five years and retired in 1988. He loved fishing at the family’s place at the Lake of the Ozarks and was a mechanic and carpenter among many other talents. Jim was preceded in death by his wife Norma Jean Williams and son Ricky Lee Williams. He is survived by his wife Louise Williams, of the home; son Jim Williams, Jr., Independence, MO; daughter Brinda James, Buckner, MO; son Mike Williams and wife Dee Dee, Independence, MO; daughter Kim James and husband Ronnie, Sibley, MO; brothers Ray Williams and wife Norma, Levasy, MO; Everett Williams and wife Reba; Dale Williams and wife Norma; Keith Williams and wife Donelda, all of Independence, MO; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-granddaughters
