Joseph David Williams

Joseph David Williams, 79, of Independence, Mo, formerly of Topeka, passed away, Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at Independence Regional Health Center. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 16, 2004 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial with full military honors will be in Mound Grove Cemetery. Joseph was born July 16, 1924 in Kewanee, IL to David Nephi and Rose (Stigel) Williams. He worked as a machinist for several companies in Topeka, KS and the surrounding areas. He also worked as a security policeman. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the US Army Air Force. He was married to Ella Vuck on July 31, 1949, She survives of the home. Other survivors include: a son, David Williams of Merriam, KS; a daughter, Karmin Wines of Florida; a sister, Lavona Taylor of Independence; a brother, Merlyn Williams of Independence, MO; 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
