Martha Ann Williams, 70, of Independence, Mo, only child to John and Isabelle McDonald, passed away in her sleep due to long term medical complications on December 17th, 2012
She was born in Independence, Missouri on November 10th, 1942. She was married to her college sweetheart, Jim Williams and had one son, Brady Williams.
As a young adult, Martha enjoyed playing guitar and singing with friends and was talented at both. Martha spent many wonderful years working with thoroughbreds and had a deep love and appreciation for all animals, often donating to charitable organizations. She and Jim moved to Kentucky in the early 1970s and her time was divided between work at the Jessamine Journal and spending time in the fields, helping to raise tobacco and pepper crops with friends of the family. She enjoyed the outdoors and all that nature had to offer.
Per Martha's wishes, she will be cremated and her ashes will be spread along the riverbank in Jessamine County, Ky. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation to www.animalsbestfriends.org and celebrate the love she had for all living things.
