Norma L. Williams, 90, of Levasy, MO, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at her home in Levasy.
Norma was born on May 12, 1932, in Uniontown, Kansas to Clarence Bruner. She was raised by her father and stepmother, Lois Swink. She graduated in 1950 from Buckner High School. On January 6, 1951, she married the love of her life, Ray Williams at First Baptist Church in Buckner. Norma began waiting tables in Buckner while Ray served in the US Army. She later raised her 3 daughters in a loving home and babysat for children in her home. She also was a Boy Scout Leader for many years. In 1994, Norma was hired as the first cook at Sonic in Buckner. She took great pride in her work and worked there until retiring in 2016. Norma also could be found mowing around Levasy. She mowed the Post Office, City Office and the Sheriff’s yard.
Norma will be remembered for her love of family and friends; gardening, growing beautiful flowers, collecting dishes and spoons from different states, shells and rocks from various places, and vacationing all around the US.
Grateful for having shared in her life are her husband, Ray Williams; three daughters, Esther Williams, Linda Carol Harris and Juanita Miller; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four siblings, Sharon Marsh, Kenny Bruner, Ellen Taylor and Roger Bruner and numerous nieces and nephews.
Norma is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Charles Bruner, Jimmy Bruner and Eldon Bruner.
Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 19, 2022, at Speaks Buckner Chapel, 300 Adams, Buckner, MO, 64016, 816-650-5555.
