Richard Eugene Williams

Richard Williams, 69, of Independence, MO passed away March 12, 2017. Visitation will be from 5-7pm Thursday, March 23, 2017 at All Saints Lutheran Church in Blue Springs. Inurnment with full Military honors will take place 10am Friday, March 24, 2017 at Missouri State Veteran’s Cemetery. Richard was born on February 8, 1948 in Minden, LA to Calvin and Dorothy (Norton) Williams. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy serving over 4 years during Vietnam.. Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing, but mostly spending time with his twin sons. He was a member of The Masons, VFW Post 1000, and Flat Earth Society. Richard worked for Sears for over 20 years before he began as a Crew Chief for Lovelace & Associates in 1998. Survivors include; sons Richard and Christopher Williams; brothers Leslie Williams, Claude Williams, and Bobby Williams; sisters Jeri Ann Hill, Debbie Lehigh, and Sally Wilson; a large extended family and many friends.
