Lee Edward Willoughby

November 11, 1953 — September 3, 2021

Lee Edward Willoughby passed away peacefully on September 3rd, 2021. Lee was born to Glen and Lucille Willoughby on November 13, 1953 and was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, sister and brother-in-law (Glenna and Kenneth Dooley), and brother (Ken (Buzz) Willoughby), as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews who will all miss him dearly. In his youth, Lee's greatest accomplishment was his incredible skill for training horses, for which he won many awards. Later in life Lee spent his free time enjoying the great outdoors with his brother, who was also his best friend. He loved to hunt, fish, search for Morels, tend his amazing garden, treasure hunt with his metal detector, and above all spend time with his beloved dogs. The world will never know another horse and dog whisperer like Lee Edward.

There will be a visitation to honor Lee's memory on Friday, September 10th, 2021 from 12:30-1:30 p.m., at Carson- Speaks Chapel at 1501 W. Lexington Ave., in Independence, MO, followed by a 2:15 p.m. graveside service at Blue Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, any donations to the family would be appreciated.
