Johnny R. Wilson, 69, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 in Independence, MO.
He leaves behind his two sons, Troy (Staci) Wilson of Blue Springs, MO and Trent (Heather) Wilson of Lee’s Summit, MO.; his grandchildren: Deven, Dylan, Andrew, Cameron, Brayden, and Landon; his brothers, Bill and Brian Wilson; his sister, Susan Wilson; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, mother, and sister.
Born in Kansas City, MO the son of Donald and Anne (Hulett) Wilson, he was a lifelong resident of the Kansas City area, residing in Grandview and Belton. He graduated from Grandview High School and retired from Southwestern Bell. In his retirement, he enjoyed life on his property in Macks Creek, MO, where he spent his days fishing, hunting, and relishing time with his neighbors, children, and grandchildren.

A public visitation will be held at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence MO, on Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. We ask that you wear your KC Chiefs or patriotic gear.
