Thomas Girvan Wilson

Thomas G. Wilson, 75, of Independence, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Tom was born January 28, 1943, to Thomas and Lilias Girvan in Holytown, Scotland. He was a graduate of South Central High School in Youngstown, OH and went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force from 1961-1968 during the Vietnam war. Tom retired in 2004, from Burns & McDonald where he worked as a Senior Field Supervisor. He enjoyed animals, motorcycles and woodworking and loved being with his family. Survivors include his daughter, Patricia Lynnette Wilson, his sons, Thomas Douglas Wilson and wife, Tiffany, and Mark Thomas Wilson and wife Denise; grandchildren, Kristine and her fiancée, Robert, Dalton, Hayden, Garth, Nick and Ryan; and additional extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife, Patricia (Farmer) Wilson in 2014.
