Willis R. Winfrey

Willis R. Winfrey, 86, of Sibley, MO, passed away June 19, 2005 at his home. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, at the Speaks Buckner Chapel. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Burial at Six Mile Cemetery. Willis was born January 6, 1919 in Buckner, MO to Charles and Myrtle (Douglas) Winfrey. After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII, he farmed in the Sibley area for many years. Willis enjoyed gardening, reading and traveling. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Judith V. Winfrey. He is survived by three daughters, Gayle Daume and husband Art; Susan Howerton; and Arlene Hager and husband Daryle; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
