Stanley C. Withee

Stanley C. Withee, 98, Independence, MO, died July 26, 2005 at The Groves. A memorial service will be held 10 am, Sat. Aug. 13, 2005 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to The Groves, 1415 W. White Oak, Indep., MO 64050. Stan was born Sept. 22, 1906 in Omaha, NE. He was a Priest in the Community of Christ and helped found the South Chrysler and Pleasant Heights Congregations. Stan was an electrical engineer who worked in Civil Service for the U.S. Air Force before his retirement in 1972. He was preceded in death by his wife, Merile Withee in 1991, and brother J. Adelbert Withee in 1993. He is survived by daughters Susan Kisslinger, Indep., MO; and Kathleen Dinius and husband Gary Fandel, Soldotna, AK; son Carl Withee and wife Jean, Gaithersburg, MD; grandchildren Eric Kisslinger, Kim Kisslinger, Ginger Withee, and Jeffrey Withee; and great-grandchildren Joseph and Christopher Withee.
