Dorothy Witte

Dorothy Fern Witte, 93 of Kansas City, KS passed away Friday, June 15, 2012 at Kansas City Presbyterian Manor. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 60455. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery. Dorothy was born July 3, 1918 near Emporia, KS to George and Ursula (Siddens) Witte. She was a legal secretary and had worked for a number of years for US Attorney Newell George until she retired in 1983. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kansas City, KS. She is survived by 2 nieces, Kathryn Wiley of Lee’s Summit, MO and Barbara Lewis of Palos Verdes Estates, CA; 2 great nieces, Sara Wiley and Alexandra Lewis and 3 great nephews, Andrew Wiley, Nicholas Wiley and John Lewis. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother John F. Witte.
