Letha Urich Wittman, 91, of Independence, MO, passed away, Saturday, January 24, 2004 at Independence Health Care Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Stucker Cemetery near Laredo, MO. The family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m., until service time Tuesday at the chapel. Letha was born April 27, 1912 in Laredo, MO to John and Margaret (Dumler) Urich. She owned and operated Wittman Furniture in Merriam, KS for over 30 years until she retired. She attended Business College in Omaha, NE. She was a 50-year member of the O.E.S. and was a volunteer for the Research Hospital Auxiliary. She is survived by a sister, Mollie Fort of Minneapolis, MN; a cousin, Rosalee Knight of Independence and several nieces and nephews. The family suggests donations to Kansas City Hospice.
