Marjorie Ann Wolfgeher, 80, of Independence, MO, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. A visitation will be held from 9-10am with a service following at 10am, on Thursday, August 11th, both at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Service will be livestreamed on the Speaks website. Interment will follow at Leavenworth National Cemetery at 12:30pm.
Marjorie was born on December 9, 1941, in Masonville, IA, to Ralph and Mabel (Robinson) Hymer. She graduated in 1959, as Valedictorian of Lamont H.S. in Lamont, IA. She went on to complete her degree from the University of Wisconsin. Marjorie was a Pathologist at the Independence Sanitarium for a number of years. In her free time, she was involved in the Women’s Auxiliary of Korean Veterans and area bowling leagues. She also enjoyed needlepoint and yarn crafts.
Marjorie is survived by her sons, Scott Wolfgeher and Donovan Wolfgeher; granddaughter, Excene (Tyler) Spencer; and great-grandchildren, Bexley and Stevie Spencer. Marjorie’s siblings include, Edwin D. (Margaret) Hymer, Harold J. Hymer, James G. Hymer, and Lois J. Holst.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, Paul.
