Terry M. Wood, 46, Independence, MO, formerly of Bentonville, AR. passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Nov. 22, 2014. Services with Full Military Honors will be 3 pm, Wed Nov. 26 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; cremation. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Tuesday at the chapel. The family requests contributions to the Terry M. Wood Memorial Benefit of Wood Family, c/o Community America Credit Union, 3100 s 291, Hwy., Independence, MO 64057. Terry was born Dec. 16, 1967 in Wichita, KS and graduated from Bentonville High School. He was an engineer for the BNSF Railroad for nineteen years and a member of BLET Division #502. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Desert Storm. He enjoyed working on cars, the outdoors, music and had a great sense of humor. He always put others first and was a kind-hearted yet strong–willed person who set a great example to his children. During his life he was able to travel to many destinations around the world with his family. Terry is survived by his wife Denise Wood, of the home; sons Ryan Richey; Andrew Wood; Levi Bartley; daughters Lauren Bartley; Lauren Anne Wood; grandson Braiden Richey, all of Independence, MO; his parents Bud & Beverly Wood; sister Darlene Wood; brother Eric Wood, all of Bentonville, AR; brothers Everett Wood and wife Stacy, Centerton, AR; Lee Wood, San Antonio, TX; brother-in-law Greg Perusich and wife Annette, Pine Bluff, AR and five nieces and nephews.
