Harry "Bob" Woodcock, Independence, Missouri died Monday, November 2, 2020 at KC Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri after a three-year battle with cancer. He was 76. He was born August 3, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the son of the late Frances and Harry Raymond Woodcock of Wilmington, North Carolina. He retired from the Kansas State Penitentiary as an Investigator, then worked part time for the Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Office, and recently was working Security at the Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City, for the last 4 years, He was a member of the Southern Heights United Methodist Church in Leavenworth, Kansas and had been attending the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Blue Springs, Missouri. He was a season ticket holder of the Kansas City Chiefs for years, a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, volunteered at Great Plains SPCA in Independence, and loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joyce Woodcock; his son Bobby Woodcock (Grace); and two grandchildren Robert "Deuce" Woodcock and Gracie Woodcock; and his dog Buster, all of Independence, Missouri. Cremation is planned with private inurnment to be held at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens in Independence, MO. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in his name to the Merriam Great Plains SPCA.
