Sam Woodell

Sam Woodell, 19, of Lee�s Summit, MO, passed away on Sunday, December 19th. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Wednesday, December 22nd at St. Mark�s Catholic Church, 3736 Lee�s Summit Rd, Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will be 5-8:00 pm Tuesday, December 21st at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial in Floral Hills Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Rockhurst High School in memory of Sam Woodell. Sam was born July 29, 1985 in Kansas City, MO to Don and Kathy (Sullivan) Woodell. Sam graduated from Rockhurst High School in 2004 where he was one of a band of brothers. He had just finished his first semester at the University of Missouri at Columbia, where he was majoring in Business with plans to attend Law School. Sam started playing soccer at a young age and continued through high school. He had a disciplined and strong passion for life and always had a smile on his face. He is survived by his mother Kathy Sullivan-Trader and step-father John Trader, father Don Woodell and step-mother Mary Ann Woodell; sister Sarah Woodell; grandmothers Joan Woodell, Jane Sullivan; aunts and uncles Karen and Ernie Lombardi, Donna and Fred Albright, Tim and Sandy Trader, Jim and Jan Trader; and a host of family and friends.
