Francis W. "Pudge" Woods

Francis W. "Pudge� Woods, 67, of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, September 25, 2004 at Excelsior Springs Medical Center. Memorial Services will be 7:00 pm Thursday, September 30th at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service from 6-7:00 pm at the chapel. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Francis was born August 18, 1937 in Independence, MO to Charles and Christina (Dekker) Woods. Pudge, as he was known to all of his friends, retired from Armco Steel in 1986 after 30 years of service. He enjoyed leading the life of leisure in his retirement spending time golfing, mowing the grass or working with his sons making deliveries. Mr. Woods is survived by his wife of 47 years, Muriel (Faustlin) Woods; sons Russell, Craig, and Robert Woods; daughter Debra Colletti; 7 grandchildren; mother Christina Woods; 3 brothers James, Charles and Joseph Woods.
