Valeria Woods

Valeria Woods, 90, of Independence, MO passed away June 24, 2012 at Rosewood Health Center. A visitation will be held from 9:30-10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. service on Thursday, June 28, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery. Valeria was born February 13, 1922 in Milton, FL to Steven G. and Martha E. Allen. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Kirby Lee Woods Sr.. Valeria is survived by two sons, Larry B. Woods of Independence, MO and Kirby L. Woods Jr. and his wife Susan J. Woods of Lake Lotawana, MO; two grandchildren, Karen L. Garber of St. Joseph, MO and Russell E. Woods of Grain Valley, MO; and four great grandchildren, Lacy, Johnna, Caysen and Chance.
