Charles “Tony” Woodside, 70, of Independence, MO, passed away June 9, 2014. Funeral Services will be Monday, June 16, 2014 at Harmony Height Missionary Baptist Church, 1701 N Salem Dr., Indep., MO, at 10:00 am. Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00-8:00 pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St, Indep., MO 64055. Burial with full Military Honors will be in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Tony was born in Columbus, IN on July 14, 1943 to Carl and Alice “Virginia” (Bradbury) Woodside. After serving in the Air Force for 12 years, Tony left the Air Force, and became a Truck Driver. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and OOIDA. Tony truly reflected the saying “God, Country, and Family”, and lived his life accordingly. Tony is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Virginia Woodside, father-in-law, Joe Choplin Sr., and a sister, Sue Fletcher. Left to mourn his passing are his wife of 40 years Betty Woodside, and son Kevin (Kelli) Woodside. Other survivors include; granddaughter, Sierra Woodside, grandson, Corbin Woodside; ex-wife, Lena Clayton; brother, William “Bill” Woodside; sister, Alice “Faye” Loetscher; half brothers, Roger (Ava Edlin, and Paul Edlin; mother-in law, Icel Choplin; brother-in-law Joe Jr. (Betty) Choplin; sister-in-law- Patti (Terry) Rude; brother-in-law, John (Cindy) Choplin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
