Kenneth “Ken” Charles Woolridge, a proud veteran who loved his country fiercely, and always put his family first, passed away on October 5, 2021. He was 72 years old. Ken was born on December 30, 1948 in Tippecanoe Township, Indiana, to Robert and Harriett Woolridge. He joined the Air Force, where he proudly served for twenty years and was stationed in 5 locations before retiring as a SSGT. On July 15, 1972, he married Sandra Vowells in Kansas City, MO and to this union 3 children were born: Kevin, Chad, and Dana. Ken worked for Metro Park Warehouses Inc. for over 20 dedicated years. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan who would never miss a game. In his spare time, Ken could be found taking long walks with his fourth child, Sadie who was his Siberian Husky and devoted companion. Ken was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved going to breakfast with his family and cherished his four grandchildren, Samantha, Hunter, Isabel and Cayleb. He will be remembered for his generosity to his family, trying to take care of everyone. Ken was such a fighter with a huge compassionate heart. He truly enjoyed traveling when he could, and he will be deeply missed by many.
Ken is survived by his children, Kevin Woolridge of Independence, MO, Chad (Alyssa) Woolridge of Bremerton, WA, and Dana (Michael) Mitchell of Independence, MO; siblings, Margie of Grain Valley, MO, Harold of Dousman, WI, Richard of Waukesha, WI, Judy of Rapids, WI, Keith of Helenville, WI and Willie of Waukesha, WI; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 40 years, Sandra Woolridge.
