Evelyn Mae Landrum Worley, 91, Independence, MO, passed away Friday, July 30, 2016, in the Groves Health Center.
Evelyn was born April 3, 1925, in New Florence, MO. She was the daughter of Thomas Milton and Sarah Elizabeth Landrum. She married Homer E. Worley on April 6, 1946. They had 5 children – 1 son and 4 daughters. She was a member of the Northern Boulevard United Methodist Church in Englewood, MO. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and caring for her family.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Homer Worley, her son, Dennis Worley, her daughter and son-in-law Connie and Walter Williams, and her sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Kenneth Worley.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Sandra and Ron Childers of Liberty, MO, her daughter-in-law Ida Worley of Sugar Creek, MO, daughter Cheryl Gondran of Independence, MO, daughter and son-in-law Karen and Tim LaMartina of Tuscon, AZ, 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 7, from 6-8pm, at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. A funeral service will be held at the chapel on Tuesday, August 8, at 10am. A second visitation and funeral service will be held at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, 330 W. Milton St., New Florence, MO 63363, at a time to be announced. Burial to follow at Hugo Cemetery in New Florence, MO. At the request of the family, please dress casually and comfortably.
