Lula Mae Wright passed away peacefully on December 25, 2012, in Derby, Kansas, where she resided for the last 5 years. She was born in Eldridge, Missouri, on June 26, 1927. She married Clyde William Wright on October 20, 1945, and moved to Independence, Missouri, where they lived in the house he built until his death in 2001. Lula has reunited with her husband of 54 years. She dedicated her life as a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her presence sweetened our lives with innumerable kindnesses great and small. Lula was blessed with abounding love from those whose lives she touched. Lula worked for many years at several local drug stores where she was a clerk and pharmacists assistant. Lula also worked at the Independence library. Lula is survived by her son Clyde Wright of Derby, Kansas; daughter Pamela Kelly of Huber Heights, Ohio; daughter Terri Euchner of Scottsdale, Arizona; and Sister Emma Mulkey of Independence. She was also blessed with 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A Visitation and Celebration of Lula Wrights life will be held on January 3, 2013, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, and service will start at 1:30 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055 with interment immediately following at Mound Grove Cemetery.
