Myron William Wright, 64, passed away on Dec. 23, 2019, in Independence, MO.
Myron was born on Feb. 17, 1955, in Detroit, MI, the son of Myron James Wright and Virginia Temple Wright. His family moved to the Independence area when he was young, and he graduated from William Chrisman High School in the class of 1973. After receiving his diploma, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He was honorably discharged in January of 1976. He returned home, where he began working as a boiler operator for Jackson County, MO.
He was Presbyterian by faith, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Independence. He enjoyed drawing and painting. He always had a giving heart and loved his friends like family.
Myron’s survivors include his children, Josie and James Wright; sister, Patricia Hardy; and nephew, Thomas Gregory. He was preceded in death by his parents, Myron and Virginia Wright.
A visitation will be held from 9-10:30am Mon. Jan. 13, at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Indep., MO. A graveside service with full Naval honors will follow at 12pm, at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Missouri Baptist Children’s Home.
