ROBERTA JUNE WRIGHT
Roberta Wright, 79, of Independence, MO passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017 at her home. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00am on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055. A service will follow at 11:00am. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Roberta was born on March 1, 1937 in Kansas City, MO to Charley and Nancy Isbell. She married Charles Wright, the love of her life, on February 6, 1953. They immediately began their family and had many happy years together. After over 30 years at McGraw-Hill, she retired and became busy being a housewife and raising the children. She loved time with her family, being a grandma, and Cookie Monster.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 63 years, Charles Wright, Sr. of the home; son Charles Wright, Jr. and wife Karen of Independence, MO; grandchildren Misty Kuckleman and husband Jeff, Adam Wright and wife Krystal, and Ashley Daily; great-grandchildren Oliver, Oxley, and Lily Rose Wright.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Tammy Sue Daily in 2015.
