Nancy Wussow

Pauline “Polly” Wussow, 100, of Independence, MO, passed away on April 9, 2014 at the Season’s Care Center in Kansas City. Services will be 2:00 pm Friday, April 18, 2014 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. Visitation will take place 1 hour prior, beginning at 1:00 pm. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Pauline was born on October 10, 1913 to Earley and Ida (Barnes) Pittman, in Sweet Springs, MO. During WWII Pauline worked as “Rosie the Riveter”, working on bombers. Pauline worked for many years at the Old Plantation Restaurant in Independence, before retiring. She later volunteered at the restaurant in John Knox. She enjoyed playing cards and traveling. Pauline is preceded in death by her husband, George and a son, Charles E. Wilson. She is survived by grandsons, George and Keith Wilson; daughter-in-law, Mary Snider; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
