Ople Jewell Wyant

Ople J. Wyant, 94, of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, July 17, 2005 at her home. Committal services will be held at a later date at Stockton Cemetery; cremation. The family suggests contributions to the Rebekah Lodge #482, 927 Newton, K.C., MO 64126 . Ople was born Dec. 29, 1910 in Stockton, Mo. She worked for Sears Co. for over thirty years and retired as a Dept. Manager in 1975. She was a member of the Sloan Lodge #482 Rebekah where she was a Past Grand Matriarch of L.E.A. and a Past President of L.A.P.M. Ople was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Wyant. She is survived by her sister, Mary E. (Gunier) Edwards, Indep. MO; nieces Mary Kathleen Edwards, Madison, TN; Claudia LaRoe, Granville, OH; Phyllis Mahan, Indep., MO; great-nieces Natalie A. Siegman, Melanie R. Newman, Jessica L. Boyle, Jenalee E. Mahan; and great-nephew Justin E. Mahan.
