Maryle (Tunks) Yager, Lee’s Summit, MO passed away Sept. 13, 2017. She was born to Clyde and Gladys Tunks on a farm in Northwest Missouri. She was married to Vernon Dale Yager of St. Joseph, Missouri, the love of her life. She is survived by two beautiful children, daughter Deanna Lynn Himelright and son Carl Eugene Yager of Anchorage, Alaska. She has two living sisters, Kathy Walton of Lees Summit, Missouri and Lynn Pierce of Colorado and a brother Max Wendell Tunks of King City, Missouri also a deceased sister, Betty Ann Staggs. She has many nieces and nephews of which she is quite proud. After graduating from Maysville High School she then attended Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville for two years before going to Kansas City where she was employed by United Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Association. She relocated with the company when they moved to Washington, D.C. and later earned a BA degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia while she spent many enjoyable hours driving a school bus. She worked for Science Applications in Mclean, Virginia. and later for OptiMetrics, Inc. in Ann Arbor, Michigan Her hobbies included reading, sewing, water aerobics, and gardening. At retirement age she returned to Lee’s Summit, Missouri, where she adopted an adorable kitten named Carley Mae. The family suggests donations to Woods Chapel United Methodist Church or to a favorite charity. Cremation. Services will be held privately.
