SUSAN LYNETTE YEAKEY
Susan Lynette Yeakey, 61, of Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, August 27th 2013. A visitation will be held from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 3rd at Carson Speaks Chapel. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 4th at the chapel. Cremation will follow.
Susan was born February 19th 1952 in Oklahoma City, OK to Max Leroy and Mary Lorraine (Pollard) Dunn as one of four children. She graduated from Westport High and later raised three wonderful children. Susan drove a school bus for the Independence School District for over twenty years.
Her family was everything and she will be remembered as an independent but supportive and loving woman.
She is survived by son, Robert Yeakey and wife Cynthia; son, Michael Yeakey; daughter, Suzanna Groff and husband Adam all Independence, MO; sisters, Sharon Smith and Sandra Chinault; brother, Barry Dunn; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
