Betty Lou Young (Bullock)

Betty Lou Young, 84 of Independence, MO passed away, Sunday, January 15, 2017 at her daughter’s residence. Cremation is planned with a private memorial service to be held at a later date. Betty was born September 16, 1932 in Muskogee, OK to Oscar and Viola Mae Bullock. She graduated from high school in Oklahoma and had attended Graceland College. She owned and operated a restaurant in California prior to moving to Independence in 1973. Here she worked for J.D. Reese before she retired. She enjoyed spending time with her husband traveling and oil painting. She was a member of the South Crysler Restoration Branch. Survivors include; a daughter, Susan Bass and husband Fred of Independence, MO; a son, Stillman Young of Florida; a sister, June Yurdana of California; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
