Bill Young, 51 of Independence, MO passed away Wed. Nov. 8, 2006 at K. U. Medical Center. Services will be 10:00 am, Mon. Nov 13, 2006 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St. Indep. MO. Graveside services will follow at 1:00 pm at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. Visitation will be from 5 - 7:00 pm, Sunday at the Chapel. Contributions are suggested to Animals Best Friends. Bill was born on Jun 19, 1955 to Charles and Anna Lee (White) Young in Kansas City Missouri. He had been a Master Sergeant in the US Air Force retiring in 1992 after 18 � years of service. For the past 14 years he had been a Letter Carrier with the US Postal Service and was the Stewart for Local # 30. Bill was a loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle, who enjoyed gardening and especially taking care of his Blackberries and grow�n Tomato Plants. He was a loyal Chiefs Fan and was politically active in politics and was a big supporter of Scouting. Bill was of the Baptist and Mormon Faith and had previously been a member to the Stilwell, KS Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Perry Young in 1999. He is survived by his wife, Lucy Young of Independence; a son, Billy Young and wife Judy; a daughter, Audrey Young, all of Independence. His mother, Anna Lee Young of Shawnee, KS, and six siblings, Charles Perry Young, Jr. and wife Kay of Sturgeon Lake, MN, Sharon Norris and husband Bill of Shawnee, KS, Fred Young of Independence, MO, Mary Gonzales and husband Oscar of Herrington, KS, Kathy Young of Kansas City, KS, Angie Redpath and Scott Redpath of Overland Park, KS and by many nieces and nephews. In Honor of Bill, the family request you wear KC Chiefs attire to the visitation.
