Louise B. Young

Louise B. Young, 86, of Independence, MO passed away on November 6, 2006 at her home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, at Mound Grove Cemetery, Independence, MO. Louise was born on August 25, 1920 in New Harbor, Maine to Perlie Edgar Lane and Flora Bell (Morton) Lane. After graduating High School she married Harold F. Young, who passed in August of 1993. Two children were born to this union, Joyce H. Walton and her children, Jean M. Crowley, Independence, MO and Russell H. Crowley, Searsmont, ME; and daughter, Barbara E. Overlock and her children, Carolee Roe and Ronald L. Overlock, Jr., both living in Independence, MO; one step-daughter, Francis Aldrich and her husband John of Rohrersville, MD; three step-granddaughters, Roxanne Cooper, Lori Kisner and Tera Melby; three brothers, Lyndon Lane of New Harbor, ME, Russell Lane of Bristol, ME and Lawrence Lane of Nobleboro, ME; two sisters, Florence Elliott of Round Pond, ME and Hazel Genthner of Pemaquid, ME. Louise spent many years working for the Camden Nursing Home as a cook. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
