Tom H. Young, Jr. 85 of Independence, MO, passed away Sat., Jun 14, 2003 at the Independence Regional Health Center. A Private graveside service will be held at Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. The family request no flowers and suggest contributions to the Alzheimer�s Association, 3846 W. 75th St. Prairie Village, KS 66208. Mr. Young was born on Sep. 19, 1917 to Tom and Lillie (Collins) Young in Obian County, TN and has lived in this area since 1947. He had been a commercial painter for various companies as well as the city of Independence. Mr. Young was preceded in death by a son, Dana Young in 1987. He is survived by his wife, Martha Young of Independence, MO. A son, Harry Mac Young of Honolulu, HI. Three daughters, Lana Hull of Iola, KS, Diane Cusimano of Atherton, CA and Debbie Richardson of Independence, MO. One brother, Odies Young of Belleville, IL. One sister, Clara Hatler of Belleville, IL, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren
