Joan Louise Younger of Independence, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home, Monday, August 9th, 2021. She was 89 years old.
Joan Louise Younger was born November 14, 1931 in Miami, Florida, to Lester and Gladys Tanksersley.
Joan was an extremely strong woman raising 6 boys and a daughter. She had a tremendous faith in the Lord and always tried to lead with his Spirit and righteousness. Always instructing her children if you lead with the Lord, He will be with you always and He will provide you with great strength if you have faith. Her warrior spirit and grit will be missed but we know she is walking with the Lord.
Joan is survived by children, Michael Kent, Jesse (Mary) Kent, Sholanda (Terry) Crabtree, Daniel (Leah) Kent, Wayne Benson; 17 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; siblings, Jane Keller, Janice Havens, Jerry Tankersley. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Gladys Tankersley; siblings Jamie and Jean; and her beloved sons, Lester and David.
A private family service will be held in celebration of the love she gave to all.
