Irene Zellmer

Irene Zellmer, 82, Independence MO, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2003, at the Blue Springs Care Center. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 pm Tuesday, July 22, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, with Visitation from 6:30-7:30 preceding the service. Mrs Zellmer was born December 25, 1920, in Dutton Arkansas , to William and Lily Jackson. She married Dale Zellmer, and they had made their home in the Independence area since 1954. Mrs. Zellmer was employed at Lake City Army Ammunition plant in Quality Control. She loved her family, and enjoyed spending time sewing, fishing, and volunteering at her church. She was a member of St. Michaels Episcapol Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, in 1995, and is survived by her two sons, James Zellmer, and his wife Ellen, Blue Springs MO, and Richard Zellmer, and his wife Paula, Grain Valley MO; 4 grandchildren, Wendy Cook, Candice Green, Beth Buckley, and Katie Zellmer; a great-grandchild, Jonathan Green; her sister Eva Selvey and brother-in-law Woody, Independence MO; and many other loving relatives and friends.
