Zoe Albita Maldonado

Zoe Albita Maldonado, a bright light in the lives of all who knew her, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024. Zoe was born on June 11, 2024, in Kansas City, Missouri to Yeison and Fe Maldonado. In her short time with us, Zoe brought an abundance of happiness that echoed through the hearts of her family.

Zoe was a happy baby. The sweet sound of her little grunts filled every space—expressing her joy when delighted and her discontent when she was overwhelmed. Her smile was especially painted on her face when she saw her big brother, Liam, heard her daddy’s voice or spotted one of his hats. Those moments showed the unique bond they shared.

Though she wasn’t particularly fond of bathtime, Zoe found comfort in the snuggles afterwards, and the warmth and affection that came with being held close. Yet, in her charming little way, she also showed her independence and was content even when she wasn’t being held and liked watching the world around her.

Zoe departed this life far too soon. She spent her last moments surrounded by the love of her family and the caring staff at Children’s Mercy hospital. Her impact was deep and profound, etched in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know her sweet personality.

Zoe is survived by her beloved parents, Yeison and Fe (De La Pena) Maldonado and brother, Liam.
